Jan is a Czech pianist from the Černý-Schulmeister family who are well-known in music. He is one of the youngest members of the PETROF Art Family. He has been playing the piano since he was five years old. To this day, Jan has over 30 first places and other extraordinary awards from national and international competitions. Also, he accepted invitations to perform in major Czech music festivals, such as the Prague Spring and Smetana's Litomyšl.

Since the age of seven, he has been participating in piano competitions, achieving remarkable results. He won first prizes or absolute victories at the prestigious César Franck International Piano Competition in Brussels and Piano Talents in Milan. In 2021, he was successful in several online international competitions. He won first place at the Odin International Music Competition in Estonia. He also excelled in two Competitions in Sweden, where Jan won first place as well as the Absolute Winner award. He added another reward to his collection from the Great Masters International Piano Competition, the Vladimir Horowitz Edition in Spain. In 2022, he participated in four international piano competitions, including the Manhattan International Music Competition in New York, where he won a special award, the Golden Medal with High Distinction.
